Hopefully someone can help me with this problem....

I'm working on a remix for a contest that's ending soon, and the band (unfortunately) provided mp3's for all the different parts of the song. I just made the switch from doing everyting in Adobe Audition to Ableton Live (Lite 5), and it seems absolutely killer so far, but my version of Live apparently doesn't import mp3's. So I simply opened them up in Audition and saved them as wav's, so that I could use them in Live.

That should work fine, right? Wrong. I played the files to the metronome in both Audition and Live, and they played perfectly clear and on beat in Audition, but in Live they were sped up a bit and sounded slightly warped. I also tried using AIF's as well, and had the same problem.

This is really effing frustrating, and I'm kinda pressed for time to get this remix done. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here? Any input would be much appreciated, thanx!

click on the clips and look for the BPM box, set the global BPM to that same bpm and all will be well. Post your results in the Link Your Music section.

Awesome! That worked, thanks a lot. I didn't realize that each clip had its own BPM setting. Sorry about the newbie question, I'm just really new to Live.

Although that fixed most of the problem, there's a very slight stutter at the beginning of what seems like every measure. Maybe it's a latency thing, I dunno, but if not, any idea what might be causing that?

I'll screw with some latency settings to see if that does the trick, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Up your sample buffer size. If that doesn't help make sure the "FADE" button is enabled for your clips.

Yeah, it was a buffer/latency issue. I already figured it out, but thanx just the same.
