as the title says, when I render to disk the resulting aif file is silent. Im new to live so it might be something obvious. I've made sure I have the whole selcetion of what I want rendered (although) it took me a while to realise lol. The aif file is 35 mb. Not that I think it matters but I deleted the return tracks as they didnt have anything in them, I just wanted to concentrate on my composition, but I added it back and still nothing. Any ideas anyone, I really wanna wack this on my ipod and play it to all my mates but they wont wanna dance to silence.

ok so it works now, im not 100% sure as to why but i'll give you my story.

I went to arrangement view and went to press play, it was silent, even though my arrangement was there to be seen? (why?)

so i rerecorded my arrangement, selected the region, then highlighted it and then rendered to disk and it worked. I don't know the full reason why this worked but it did. if someone could shed some light for me? thanks and have fun.

oh yeah, im really really havin so much fun with live, it's great. works great with my guitars, my imagination and my amps. all i need now is a midi keyboard and i'll be set!

when you render you have to make sure that all other tracks are deselected - so turn off all other track activator switches apart from the track you want to render

maybe that is the problem....?
