Holy Hell! I finally downloaded this plug. It is awesome, good when you need a little inspiration, or want to approach a song from a different perspective. Also, the nice GUI makes it easy for my chick to effortlessly jam along by clicking on different chord hex's on the screen. It is super easy to route to different soft synths, samplers, etc in Live.

Next step, find a way to control the bastard with the SL-25. it's too much fun. A little CPU hungry in this version (only tested on cakewalk) , but nothing a resampler track couldn't fix. Haven't tried it in a heavier Cpu live set. Just basic melody building.

doesn't the scale plug kinda make this thing obsolete or am I missing something?

Probably. never played with the software. though i do know that you can crossfade into different scales in Live 6

Same goes for chords...
Or note length.

You're missing something

Try doing complex chord progressions and key changes using Scale - sure, you can do it with a rack full of chord plugins and a bunch of midi automation, but that kind of takes the intuitive bit out of it!!!!!!

ChordSpace is great! I only ever tried the free one, and then I since made a max patch that basically does the same thing as the pay one - Stick any kind of chord into the first input and it'll force the second input to that scale. Great fun, and useful for a bunch of different stuff (best use: route your drum patterns to it )

Johnisfaster, There is also something intuitive about the GUI, it opens up a few more creative doors, kind of like painting with a different paintbrush. Great for experimentation. Sometimes I get tired of playing triads on a keyboard. This is just another paintbrush.

That's pretty cool, I can't wait to play with the chords/note lengths in six.
trying to imagine incorporating that into racks makes me feel a little dizzy.
