Just curious. In my own studio I use Digital Performer for all my basic tracks (Drums, bass, guitar, vox) and I use Live as basically my sampler/keyboard/sound design tool. But I work at 3 other studios so I have had to learn Nuendo, Pro Tools, and soon Logic Pro. The biggest pain in the ass is trying to remember all the key commands.

i only use live
i guess if i wanted to be a producer i would also use pro tools but, i just want to be a musician (for now at least).

Its enough for me jumping between live and logic.

Logic and Live, great combo... all i need.

as of now live is my one and only sequencer. though im slowly trying to initiate myself into renoise. ive never been able to get used to trackers.

That's really interesting --- what do you think of DP? I like it because of some of the midi/scoring features that aren't in Live, but the work flow is entirely different.
I got DP because I needed that stuff and Logic was so expensive. I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about those sequencers.

I use live for me and ProTools when I have to. It is sad to see that it seems that ProTools will not work on my new computer as it is very picky. For making music live is all I need.

I use Live and Sonar. But I use Sonar more for multitrack audio recording. The two big draws of that over Live are - better metering and multicore support, both of which are being added in Live 6. So Sonar may be obsolete.

I've also used Tracktion in the past, and I use Audition for mastering, sample editing, and occasionally for audio tracking/montage.

Oh, and I use Reason lots too. But...

Live really is The Main Event here.

Used to use the sequencer on the korg triton, along with pro tools.
Live is just easier, more fun, and hardly limiting compared with the triton's sequencer. In, fact, anyone want to buy a triton pro-x 88 key?

just live , would like logic too but don't have the budget right now , and I still need some new monitors and some midicontroller with endless rotaries first

Same here.

I think I still prefer Sonar for multi-tracking, and for final mixing/mastering. But Live has been inspiring my creativity in ways Sonar never could. So each has their purpose. =)
