Rewire Loop Skip

I still notice a skip with the use of Reason and Rewire if a loop is turned on. At the beggining of the loop is a slight mute for a fraction of a second but is still noticable. Does anyone out there even use the loop tool with Reason and notice this bug or is it just me. Tried it with every version of Live and Reason and it seems if 1.01 of Reason not 1.0 is installed the bug will occur. Maybe when the 2.0 comes out it will be gone?

I have exactly the same problem. It happens with Cubase and Reason too. I contacted the Props and they said it was a problem known to them but that it was Cubase based. However, when I told them it happened with Live they said they would look into it further.
Drop them a line to let them know. It might prompt them to look into it further if they haven't done so already. I hope it doesn't happen with 2.0 cos it's really frustrating.
Anyone else out there with the same problem ?

I also have this problem although Cubase and Reason work fine. With Live Reason seems to miss a beat every time it hits the loop point which makes running it with Live in loop mode unworkable. Surely more users have noticed this.

Yep, happens to me too. I contacted the Props about it, and they said they didn\'t have a copy of Live with which to test it!
Which is a bit strange since the Live/Reason roadshow has been touring Europe since whenever....

The exact same thing is happening to me! My work-around is that I turn off the snap-to function in Reason and move the starting loop marker back just a hairline. I shouldn't have to do this, but it's the next best thing to acknowledgement from Propellerheads.

Anyone got any progress on the Reason/Live loop skip probem?

Friends,
I have been having the same problem in Sys 9.1, with Reason 2. A post on the Reason discussion group indicated that upgrading from 1.5 to 1.51 fixed the issue, but I just upgraded from 1.5 to 1.52 patch it still skips. Considering how closely Prop and Ableton are working together, I am surprised that this is not fixed. Any response from Ableton???
Jason
PS-not to be too nagative, once I can get these two prog running together as they should I am going to sell all of my hardware synths and samplers. There is no going back!

I've got the same problem. Hopefully this is going to be fixed sone.
Unbelievable that a bug like this got through the best software solution ever.

I'm running Live 1.5.2 and Reason 2.0 on an AMD chip... I too have this problem with the very first note dropping off, I sent an email to Ableton, I guess I too should send off a message to the Props. I never noticed it until recently, mainly because I had synth sounds playing that probably covered the loop gap. Definately not good, especially if playing live. Hope we get a response from someone soon.
I will add that I tried changing parameters (quantization, sound card latency settings, etc.), and the loop would play fine for ONE TIME, and then go back to skipping sounds. That is very odd.
Astonishing that it has not been addressed?

It is amazing that this has still not been fixed given that these programs are widely advertised as being companion programs, particularly by M-Audio (Midiman)! It is the most annoying aspect of what is otherwise a great combination!

Well Abletons? whats the word on this? am currently using the demo. Love the program and I wanted to get 1.5 before 2.0 comes out but...
am already a paying beta tester for Steinburg... maybe, have to give you a few more years to sort it all out...

I encountered the same problem with Cubase and Live (PC), however the problem seemed intermittent, making it even more strange.
When slaving Live to Cubase, this problem occurs when I first open Live, however if I shut Live down (keeping Cubase open), and then re-start it, the problem goes, and looping works fine.
Might be worth trying this to see if it makes any difference?
Cheers

The same silent part in the beginning happens to me with Ableton 2.0beta and Reason 1.52 I was hoping so badly that Ableton 2.0 would fix this issue.
