Hi. I just got the Emu1616m, which I am really happy with. I just cant seem to figure out this basic problem; HOW TO KEEP THE DSP FXS IN THE RENDERED MIX? So far I spend 4 hours reading manuals and on the net,..and it should be really basic stuff! I can listen tho the fxs which I added in patchmix, I tryed to create a new strip for that channel, and and select the same inputchannel in live! WHAT AM I MISSING`?

Patchmix fx are realtime only & cannot be rendered so you will have to route yor tracks or mix back into live & record in realtime.
Id suggest you forget the Emu FX & use vst if you can because the quality isn't that great anyway & with VST FX within live you can save the FX with your song & not worry about changes in patchmix affecting your tunes.

Well, you should be able to render them, at least in real time if you use the E-MU PowerFX VST effect. Too bad it doesn't work properly with Live, causing crackles. I think somebody at the Unofficial E-MU Forum had some kind of solution, but I haven't tried it. At least it works with Cubase.
For an excellent tutorial about PatchMix DSP, see Martin Walker's Sound On Sound article
