HELP: Axiom MIDI input to Live 5.2 - not working?

Hi,
I'm a new user of Live 5.2. In fact, after demo'ing the software for a weekend, I ordered it immediately, particularly because I'm trying to write a symphonic piece and neither Cubase nor Sony ACID Pro 6 will run MOTU MSI for more than 10 minutes without crashing the machine, and Live 5.2 ran fine without crashing, which is very sweet.
Now come the problem. I bought the Axiom-49 + Live 5 bundle as it's a great deal and it's nice to replace the controllers (Ozone: too small, and Studiologic: too big) I was using. I activated Live today, and installed the drivers for Axiom-49 but although Live recognizes the controller, it fails to receive any MIDI signals from it.
This is very very bizarre.
To make sure that there was nothing wrong with my connection / driver, etc. I tested the controller with both Cubase and Sony ACID Pro and both applications received MIDI signals without any problem.
For the second test, I plug the Ozone back to the computer and tried to record in Live, to make sure that I understood how to setup MIDI inputs in Live correctly, and it ran fine as well.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If it matters, here's my computer config:
Pentium 4 2.4GHz 800FSB with HT-enabled
1GB RAM
Windows XP SP2
Lexicon Omega Studio (using Omega ASIO driver 1.0.2.0 and MIDI driver 1.0.6.0)
thanks,
See-ming
