Would love a way to return the SPP to the beginning of a song without having to click stop twice, or manually move the SPP there.

You can just add locator at the beginning of the song (or wherever else you like) and map a custom key to it using the key mapping mode. Now save this project as default. From now on you have mapped key "NUM1" (for example) to play the song from the start. The good thing about this is that it's customizable so you can later add multiple locators to other parts of the song, map them to keys or buttons as you like and you can play them pretty much like scenes in Session view.

Just plug in your Push and press shift+play.
You're welcome.

Not sure what SPP is, but you can right-click on the start of the loop brace or on a locator and select "Set Song Start Time Here". Then every time you press the spacebar, it will start of the loop brace or the locator. Shift-Spacebar will start from the current position. There are other relevant keyboard shortcuts, but I don't know them.

Song Position Pointer.
Either way, the original post was from 2006, and 9 years later I definitely don't have an issue with this anymore
