Intel Mac + Live: constant crashing!

Live has suddenly quit on me 5 or 6 times in the last few hours.
- Twice it was while changing the tempo
- Twice it was while opening a new set
I'm controlling Live with the FCB1010 pedal and using Live's clock to drive other loopers, so for it to suddenly quit is pretty catastrophic.
Interestingly, I generally only touch Live via the midi foot controller, and these crashes happened while using the mouse.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, when I installed Live 5, it didn't work on my Macbook Pro. I wrote to Ableton tech support and they told me to download 5.2 as that one would work with my intel Mac.
Is there a DIFFERENT Live 5.2??
Still crashing all the time. On Saturday I performed on the radio and Live crashed in between songs when I tried to change the tempo.

thanks for pointing me to the upgrade, i didn't realize there was one.
that seems to have solved my crashes (fingers crossed!) as they are not happening now.
now my CPU load is double though, running the same set...
was at 16% now between 30 and 40.

taximouse, did you PAY for the 5.2 upgrade?
the intel mac 5.2 was a $50 upgrade.
if you didn't pay for it, chances are its not the universal binary (intel mac) version.
one way to find out is click on the Live.app in your applications folder. and hit CMD+i to 'get info'. under General: you will see "Kind" - here it will say either PowerPC, or Universal. you want Universal.

well, i paid $149 for the Live 5 upgrade, just to find that it wouldn't work on my machine. tech support told me to download 5.2
says "universal" when i info it.
thanks for the help everyone. 5.2.1 seemed to solve that problem...now i have others which i'll post separately.
