Live 4.1.4 - hangs when scanning for VSTs

Bit of a problem which I'd appreciate a fix for.

I installed the 4.1.4 update alongside my 4.1.0 installation (which functions correctly). Stupidly I set my 4.1.4 to scan for VST plugins in my entire Program Files directory. Now it hangs part way through having detected a load of .dll files that are blatantly not VSTs.

The problem is I can't get it to start up so I can change the folder to my VST folder in the preferences. There must be a config file or a registry setting specific to 4.1.4 that it is referring to because my old 4.1.0 installation still works fine.

How can I reset it to search a sensible VST folder?

Any responses gratefully received...

A config file is store in C:Documents & settings\Your User Name\Aplication Data\Ableton\......Preferences.cfg

Move or delete this & live should start , you will have to set your preferences again & live will create a new .cfg file
