Ok name your best Orbital album mines insides amazing album.

leftism is an amazing album from leftfield who were the best live act ive ever seen amazing blew me away there mc was amazing the rasta guy, i saw them twice, once at v festival in the dance tent fucking amazing.

whats happened to these types of bands?

I think electronic music has become really snobby.

orbital:
- the box single that came with inside : 21 minutes masterpiece
- the brown album : first time I heard earth is burning on the radio i started to listen to electronic music and forgot about all my metal CD's

best live act : saw daft punk on pukkelpop this weekend and they still kicked ass but saw them a decade ago right after homework was released at a techno festival and that was probably the best live act I've ever seen : no robot helmets , no big screens , just 2 guys and 2 samplers

I saw Leftfield headline 2000 Homelands - Scotland (in some fucking sheep field in the middle of nowhere). I didn't know them at the time. They were my favorite electronic group after the show. It blew my mind. The bass massaged my balls for hours.

It was then that I became a Nord fan.

those two albums will forever be burned in my brain as what dance music had the potential to become (and did) when when they were first released.

I also have a soft spot for Freaky Chakra, the Hardkiss brothers (delusions of granduer compilation), and the great Young American Primitive. These were mostly west coast phenoms here in the states.

yeah UForb class album i saw them live aswell with a live bass player this was a great experience.

Yeah! Dubnobass! Possibly my all time favourite album. And to think you were having your taste questioned a few posts back. Tut, tut.

Also: Fluke - Risotto (didn't quite get the recognition as the Chems and Orbital)

Everything suggested here was a classic. Not sure I can ever be quite as excited about music again as in this period. Not sure if it's because I'm older or that nothing could sound that new again. Still some great new acts out though.

I know its not an album but "Little fluffy Clouds" still goes down well - Young childhood days in a field and hands in the air -

Paul Daley's still at it here and there.

The Chems just recently released an album pretty much up to their usual standards.

I think it's out there still. So does baby jesus.

yup, Underworld, Chems, Orb, FSOL and Leftfield all rock my world.

But now its my turn....

I've been rehearsing with a bass player too the past few weeks. Brings a great element to the performance. Make sure the fcker can sing too, good to support each other's vox.

As long as latency is down to 4ms i can play bass keys with the bass player and keep in time no problem. any higher and there's a bit of a lag (man)

Absofuckinglutely. Spot on. The Brown Album turned me from a snobby little "electronic music is only for people who can't play" into a full-on convert. The non-stop run from Lush through Impact and Remind... amazing.
