weird problem with sending recorded audio through any reverb

this is really puzzling and annoying me. Im unable to send recorded audio through any reverb plugin, native or 3rd party. I know its only recorded audio because i have tried other loops on the same tracks & that works, and i know its just reverb because every other plug in ive tried seems to work ok.
I discovered it on the sends; the audio gets sent but with the reverb at 100% wet the output is muted for some reason.
Is there any explanation for this? Ive never experienced it before.
Ive just bought a v-amp & its the first time ive recorded with it so perhaps its something to do with that but surely recorded audio would be the same no matter what fx/amp modeller is running in to it.
In case it matters: xp, dmx 6fire, live 5.2, 768 ddr ram.

Hi,
I have a hard time undersatnding your problem: you say that if you record a clip into Live, then you can't sedn it to a reverb? Reverb as insert or send?
Again, you record a clip, disarm the track, turn monitor OFF, and the clip doesn't go to the reverb? but if you place any other clip on the same track, it goes to the reverb?
You can answer me directly at

Are you soloing the track? In LIVE5, there is no solo in place. There is now in 6. So, if you solo a track, you won't hear anything coming out of the send.
Otherwise, it seems like a really weird problem.
I don't think I have ever had that problem. In my setup, I have sendA as a reverb. I can send any audio that I have recorded, either resampling, or recording from a MIDI track directly, to that send, and I hear the reverb. Unless I solo in 5. Then I won't hear anything.
Keep us in the know as to your problem.
Cheers,
AB

thanks for the response.
anti-banausic - I have checked if it was accidentally solo'd but its not. does indeed seem to be a strange problem.

Yes that's correct. Reverb as a send or an insert doesnt work. If I have 50/50 dry/wet some signal comes through but it is only dry signal.

Im working in a slightly different way to this but yes its essentially the problem. I Have the track always set too OFF and always armed & sent only to sends. I do this so I can use a send as a group.
I don't normally disarm the track (didnt think i needed to) but ive just tried that but it makes no difference.
And yes that's correct about other clips.
