Killer little synth has just gone on GroupBuy over at KVR, so hurry....it ends next Saturday, September 2nd.

In case you guys don't know Tone2...the fella helped developed Vanguard, Slayer2, and PlastiCZ from reFX. Thru another thread sometime back at KVR, it was mentioned that he developed the oscillators and filters for reFX Vanguard (and I think the same on the other 2 as well).

As of the last update earlier today, 26 people have joined the Group Buy, so pricing it at $49.00 right now; it just started yesterday and a week to go. SO...check it out if you're in need of a unique synth does that all kinds of cool sounds (or on the fence about Operator).

I own his FilterBank2 and like FireBird, it has a "random" patch button, so for those of you not really into creating your own patches knob-by-knob, but want to create something new = One press of the button, and voila! you have a unique patch. I wish all synths had this feature!

SO...I encourage everyone to please help support this guy as he has mentioned in one of the threads that he is disappointed in the sales, but I'm sure it's probably due to marketing and not alot of folks know about him and his products. He just started making his 2 products available a couple of months back and seems to be updating them right now (he just updated FilterBank2 and working on v1.1 of FireBird).

At the GB current price and the price that it'll probably end up dropping down to....the synth is definitely WAY MORE WORTH than what you'll end up paying = a real bargain.

So rush on over to the thread and see what folks are saying about it.

it's a very cool little synth, don't let the simple interface fool you. It's got a lot going for it...

= update =

Markus has posted at KVR that 40 people have joined the Group Buy so far, so the price is now down to US$44.00. 40 to go to the next level and it'll be at US$39.00, but at $44.00....it's already a real bargain.

Just think....not only would you be getting FireBird at a damn good price, but you'll be supporting one of the most talented synth programmers!

...and don't forget FilterBank2 in all this....it's a kick-ass little filter with a flexible gate!

3 days left!
Current Price: US$44.00

52 people have joined the Group Buy so far.

28 more folks to go and we're at US$39.00 for FireBird.

BTW - there's an ongoing discussion right now in Tone2's forum about the possibility of a new GUI or as Markus mentioned...skinning FireBird. View the discussion here:

This synth is VERY nice sounding! I tried the demo and loved the awesome sounds it produced. Its a deceptive synth, you won't believe it has such power and high quality sound till you really take it for a whirl. I'll be joining the group buy today!

It's really versatile, I already have it or I'd be in the group buy. It's my favorite plug-in now for basses.... very cool instrument, I really recommend it!
I like the controls, quick and to the point!

FIREBIRD FINAL PRICE = $44.00

Just to let you know you still have a chance to get FireBird at this price as he's extended the offer until tomorrow, Sunday, so if you haven't already....jump on this neat little synth!

Here's the thread where he states that he'll still accept offers until tomorrow:

Markus is already sending out emails to purchase FireBird at that price (I got mine already!). He also just posted that he's hard at work on v1.1 of FireBird and he's adding SKIN support and making the original skin's knobs nicer...among other enhancements.

Have a great weekend.

No matter if you're already fully equipped with synths: give Firebird a try. Awesome piece that reminds me to ABL's Pro synth (soundwise).
