You talkin' FF One or FF Twin? Either way, both excellent synths imo. The filters really are fab! I just spent the entire day building Twin patches. :D

Twin is sweet, very rough analog rude sound, very cool modulation interface (dragging lines to knobs), 1 screen GUI.

at first I loved fabfilter (1, not twin) so I bought it and then quickly realised I wished I had twin. I'm not real big on the non twin one. I kinda wish I could upgrade it or something but I don't think they offer anything like that.

Maybe shoot them an email and ask?

Many times smaller devs are willing to cut deals...

They initially had a special Twin price for One owners... not sure if it was time limited.

yeah,
i bought twin two months ago and also asked for a special deal because i own One, and they told me i was a bit late, because there was an introduction offer....
But it's worth every euro cents!!!
it's my favourite synth together with ABL bassline pro!!(and i own Reaktor that i don't use anymore.......)
It cover such a large "palette" of sound.....
The Unison mode is gorgeous!!!!and the filter unbelievable!!!!!
It sound so analog...
Go buy it!!!!

A version of FabFilter 1 was issued free on the computer music cover disc a few months ago. I think that it is still on the cover disc.

Both are great sounding with a superb interface. I plan to buy volcano one day when there are enough pounds in my piggy bank.

FabFilter Twin preset reversion

Agree with all the raving about Twin and Volcano but one thing is aggravating me with the trial version of Twin - quite frequently, the presets I have set will all go back to the Default (AT Filter Leader DM) even though the original preset I chose is still shown in the Ableton view of the plug-in on the instrument panel. In other words, I open up the VSTi interface of Twin and the preset patch has been reset. This is proving to be quite annoying as I can never be sure if my preset patches are good to go when I’m about to record tracks. Is this a feature of the trial version? Is it a known issue? I really want to buy both products but this preset reversion thing is really aggravating. Has anybody else experienced this? I've sent a message to FF support so we'll see what they say.

Yeah I did a chunk of the included library for FabFilterTwin very fun to program. Really nice sounding and easy synth. Worth checking out.

Can't speak for the choice of demo limitation scheme as I never had to bother with it 8)

This was down to my MIDI clip getting imported with a default of 1 set in the Bank | Sub Bank | Program settings. I switched them all to "None" and, bingo, no more unwanted patch changes! :D

i actually bought that computer music mag that said it had fabfilter one on the dvd but it turns out it didn't. i search that dvd inside and out, but no fabfilterOne. it was the first time i ever bought one of those mags just for the reason it said it was on the dvd. i'm sure this adds nothing to the conversation,... i'm just still very pissed because i haven't found the free one anywhere on the interwebs.
