Hallo Firewire 410 Users:

Just found this update for my audio interface M-Audio Firewire 410 it's for Intel and PPC.

I didn't even see this update at M-Audio's website?

I installed it on my G5 1.8 Ghz running 10.4.7 and it's running stabel with very nice latency times!

Traktor 3.1.1 is running at 96 khz with 2 ms without any problems, pretty sweet.

Under Live 5.2.1 it seems more stabel and i also gets much better latency times at 96 Khz.

Bad news, these drivers still did not work with my Mac Pro 10.4.7 OS X

Just a flashing blue light, and the utility in sys prefs just says no FW-410 found

any updates for macbooks tiger OS?

I've been using this version (1.7.2) since I bought my Macbook

I've upgraded to 10.4.7 too and it still works fine. I know the M-Audio site says it's for 10.4.6 but 10.4.7 is fine too.

And the update is defo on the M-Audio web site.

Try running the setup again and choose the Uninstall (/ Remove) option and get the driver out fully.
Unplug the 410, reboot your Mac.
DO NOT PLUG IT IN yet and run the setup again
When it finishes installing, it will tell you to shut down THEN plug the 410 in THEN boot up. (you have to plug the 410 before you boot up the Mac again)

This works for me. Reason I also remember the steps well is cause last time I installed the latest DivX and it f* up my 410 install. (how/why/etc I don't know but it happened right after the Divx codec etc got installed)

I had to go through the uninstall/reinstall process to get things back working.

Have the exact same problem on OS 10.3.9... And that´s with every driver-update ever posted on the website. Have to use my original old old driver wich came with the hardware (cant remember the version number as Im not at home).

Ill give the new one a try tho...

If you're on 10.3.9, you can ONLY use the 10.3.9 driver from M-Audio. . .none of these driver updates will work for you.
