HEY ALL...
I am a new user to Live and find it to be really fun to dj with.I am planning on using it in a live dj environment. My friend and i would like to use a live laptop setup running live, and him on two cdj 1000s and a mixer. We have no idea on how to beatmatch live into the cdjs or even what hardware to run with the laptop soundcard wise. The setup will involve a Macbook Pro running live on it,but i need to know what hardware to connect the laptop to,so i have the ability to monitor live over my headphones.Sound quality is also an issue, especially when going from Live to vinyl. So is there some hardware we can use to correct this?
Ideally i would like to use something that allows me to monitor Live like a vinyl record, connect it to an amplifier vie usb or firewire, and get good sound quality at the same time....

please help...

you get yourself an audio interface with 2 seperate outputs (master/monitor), then setup live to enable cue'ing. in the manual you will find how to do this.

sell the cdj's and buy a controller and just use one laptop.

http://www.redsound.com/products/soundbitemicro will sort the cdj / ableton sync issue, http://www.echoaudio.com/Products/CardB ... /index.php will sort the cueing issue and give you good quality sound output and http://www.pspaudioware.com/indexen.htm ... ntage.html; will warm up the ableton output ( can't remember the exact preset) to help it compete with cdj and vinyl. job done!
