M-Audio FiwreWire ASIO Problem

Ok today I got up at a sparrows fart and decided to do a clean re-install of windows. I expected a few problems (as u do). Re-Installed FireWire 1814 Asio drivers blah blah , Ableton Reasion various VST's and crap. Copied my backup DIR back over to Ableton Sets (as u do). Opened up the track I was working on yestarday and found that I cant run AL5.2.2 on the M-Adio FW ASIO settings (just does nothn) I can run it on ASIO Direct X Full Duplex or Asio Multimedia Driver but they are complete crapolla given the latency. I have been tearing my hair out for hours. Rebooting, re scanning, re installing FW and I am (to say the least) pissed off beyong beleif.
I really need to get M-Audio FW ASIO setting running so I can get back to working on my up&coming set at Mars Lounge. This is the last time I ever buy M-Audio crap. If thats my problem. ATM as I said I can run it on Asio Direct X but the latency makes it very un-usable. Needs to be running on FW Asio.
If anyone could help me or atleast point me in the right direction I would be significantly appreciative as I'm on a deadline.
BTW Test Tone doesnt work either.
