RECENTLY I FORMATTED MY HDD. THEN I INSTALLED ABLETON IN ORDER TO USE IT. BUT SOMETHING HAS CHANGED. IT TAKES AGES FOR ABLETON LIVE TO INITIALIZE. THEN AFTER THE PROGRAM WINDOW SHOWS UP IT WORKS SO SLOWLY YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO USE IT AT ALL. I TRIED INSTALLING DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF ABLETON (5.01 AND 5.03) BUT THE EFFECT WAS ALWAYS THE SAME...
BEFORE THE FORMATTING EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. ABLETON INITIALIZED QUICKLY AND EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY...
COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE HELP ME? WHAT'S MY PROBLEM? I REALLY CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT ABLETON LIVE...

well for a start i would try the latest update, 5.2.2 i think. Why on earth are you still on 5.01 & 5.03?!

sorry for shouting before...
it didn't help at all... the same effect with 5.2.2 as with the other versions... damn slow work of ableton... totally unusable...
please help

it can't be the program version when before formatting everything was working perfectly! maybe i need to install something so that ableton works in a different way...
btw. what's rewire engine?

Try deleting the preferences.cfg file. I forget exactly where it is, but you can do a search on the forum for it.

Also, rewire is a program/technology created by a company called propellerheads in sweden to allow music programs to "talk' to each other. They also have a program called Reason (and ReBirth, ReCycle).
