Latency between audio monitoring and GUI (Live 5.x and Bx6)

Hi,

I don´t know what causes it, but when I start a fresh set
there is no latency between what the meters/pointers show
and what I hear.

But at a certain point the gui starts to lag behind the audio.
I can´t reproduce this issue, I feel quite helpless.
Might be some plugin that causes it, but I don´t know.

TIA

I had the same issue,

I was using a generic, free asio driver (asio4all) and a standard soundblaster live card. I switched to a card that was designed for pro music with a good asio driver and the problem went away.

it's designed to sacrifice screen drawing in attempts to keep the real-time audio glitch-free

Finally some replies. Thank you both for the input. :D

@animotion: I´m using the RME Multiface, latest drivers.
@longjohns: That would maybe explain, that I don´t get
any lag when starting with a new project.

So it seems that this is a normal behaviour with Live
caused by heavy load...

depends what plugins you are using, plugins often introduce latency.

Something like a convolution reverb will introduce a lot of latency.
