Ableton Has Messed Up My MIDI Keyboard

Somehow Ableton has messed up my MIDI Keyboard (Evolution MK-449C) and now it has transposed the keys up slightly, so that pressing a G registers as a C, and so on. It has only started doing this today, and re-starting or turning off the keyboard has no effect.
I even re-installed the drivers but to no avail so it must be a Live problem.
Any help?

Thats impossible afaik.
Check with a midi monitor to see if your keyboard is messed up.

Ah, good call - it appears to be the keyboard.
I've turned it off, then back on again and even re-installed the drivers. What else is there to do?

Are you sure it's not an octave shift thing?
By how many notes is the output transposed?

8 semi-tones.
My F is now my A! Is there software that can realign it?

You could use Abletons pitch plugin. But thats not a solution. I would get the keyboard fixed or buy a non m-audio keyboard.

The pitch plug-in a temporary fix?
I really need to practice and won't be able to get a new keyboard for a while yet.
Where can I get this pitch plug-in, and how is it used?

It is one of Live's midi effects. You put in front of the soft synth you use.
In your case, you'll have to set it to transpose down 8 semitones.

1. Try resetting your board:
(from your product manual, page 10)
You can reset the MK-425C/449C/461C back to the factory defaults on power-up by
holding down the +/- buttons.
Note: Restoring the Factory presets will erase all setups stored to memory.

BTW: Some years ago I runned into a similar problem with Logic and the Oxygen8.
