yet another remote SL question...lol

Ive heard the pads really suck on the SL, but just how bad are they, and for what reasons? Too small? Not responsive enough? Are they any worse than the Trigger Finger?
I have a trigger finger now and am thinking about selling it off for an SL37 or an axiom 49. I personally prefer the layout of the axiom, but seeing as how 4 faders and 6 knobs on my Radium 49 just stopped working the other day, I'm hesitant to buy another M-audio product.

I've been using my microkontrol again more since it was added to the device list. The pads on the sl seem hard, sometiimes unresponsive, and impractically located (though I admit I am used to the MK grid). It does seem that they break in well.
I strongly suggest at least a 37. Or, a 0 with an axiom. Mmmm. Can't wait to see how my advice changes in 3 months when the loans stop coming in...

Nope. Some ableton junky I met at an electronic music symposium in Penn state last spring told me I was fronting on my name, and that there was a lofa or a Lofah already. He also told me that he was pretty sweet and that I should consider changing my handle. My name is actually "Lawrenceville of Fucking-A Arabia,".

i don't use the pads for anything other than activate buttons, they suck as drum pads, i just use keys for that now.

They aren't that bad in my opinion. Yeah they are not my MPC but I've still hammered out some beats on them just fine.
