vst plugs for Live in OSX?

Getting my new powerbook on monday or tuesday. Will be my first time using OSX ever, so I'm a little nervous. What vst freeware/donationware plug-ins are you guys using successfully with LIVE in OSX? What ones didn't work for you? I'm hoping to have as trouble-free a time as possible with Live on this new machine! Any other hints or tips for a brand new pb running OSX greatly appreciated as I am totally new to OSX.
Many many thanks,
scotty

I can't get Block Fish to work in OSX with Live 1.5, dunno what the issue is.
However, I do use it in Peak DV and on my PC with Wavelab 4 and it's pretty sweet!
VST Plug-in sites to check out...

It's(Fishphones) a Mach-O format VST, only Live 3 supports the Mach-O format as opposed to the older versions of Live which only supported the older "carbonized" format.

Thanks for the websites and the few plugs mentioned. I think I have visited most of those sites already and downloaded what I could. I guess tonight I'll post a list of the plugs I grabbed and if anyone of you knows that one of the ones I mentioned won't work in Live you can let me know. That way when I install Live (v2.whatever) on my new powerbook (coming tomorrow hopefully!) I'll run into less problems.
many thanks,

IMHO there's no reason to not use v3, as the problems I've experienced with the beta are trivial. Even when compared to some 'final' software - Reaktor, for instance

I'll have to read up on v3 and all the feedback people have about it. I certainly would love to play with the new envelope clips and effects! I guess my biggest concern is that I will be playing a show in early december and I want everything as stable as possible. I don't have a lot of time to prepare (as I'll be busy most of november) so I was worried about being too ambitious with trying out a new version. Do you think version 3 is fine for performing live?
thanks,

okay... here are the vst's I've downloaded in anticipation of my new powerbook (1ghz 768 megs ram osx). When I get my new beauty I'm hoping to use some of these.
the plugs:
+decimateX
ambience
analog delay
camelphatfree
crazy ivan
cyanide2
fishfillets (blockfish,floorfish,spitfish)
frohmage
h2o
ktgranulator
mda's plugs (beats me what they all do!) (ambience,autopan,bandisto,combo,de-ess,degrade,delay,detune,dubdelay,dynamics,envelope,leslie,limiter,looplex,loudness,multiband,overdrive,repsycho,rezfilter,roundpan,shepard,specmeter,splitter,stereo,subsynth,talkbox,vocoder,etc)
more feedback machine
roommachine844
rubytube
supaphaser
...and I still need to download the destroyfx stuff. Does it all work?
Any of those leap out as NOT working?
Am I missing any really cool ones?
What do *you* use for long delays?
Thanks!

Well, if it doesn't crash sitting on my desktop or in the band rehearsal room (not yet anyways, touch wood), I can't see why the exact same setup would crash on stage. I'm not ready to take it there, though.

Anybody know of any others in my list that might not work in LIVE v2.x?
I'm still not sure if I'll use v3 yet... will have to test it and see...
enjoy,
