As we wait for the WebShop to come online...who's getting ready to shell out the $170 for Sampler?

i'll go for sampler.
I won't kiss any asses but ableton is smooth as butter.
I have no software sampler right now and i was not quiet sure to need one
but after watching the sampler movie i tried some steps made there
and i really was convinced.
Also i was convinced by the update.
So much things requested in the wishlist weren't there obviously
but after a closer look there were there in a special, inteligent way!
Hats up!!!!!

I literally just bought/unlocked Operator. <stoked>

It's another sounds mangler, for the money there are other samplers out there, I doubt I really need it and I haven't heard the EIC yet.

Of course I'm buying it!! With the low CPU loading and the stuff Live users put out (covert ops and track team) it's too much to pass up.

So Live 7 is going to have a $200 step sequencer?

I will, the only real bummer for me is no midi learn :(

I hope future versions will have individual settings/outputs per zone also!

Unless Sampler (& Operator for that matter) is bundled with LIVE, I'll always be passing them up as 1) there's already plenty of good/cheaper alternatives out there; 2) they're not compatible with other hosts....and 3) I already have Dimension Pro. :)

I've not used Sampler much during the beta cycle and I doubt I will use it that much if I purchase it. I have Kontakt.

I had thought if Ableton offered a solid discount for its initial sale with the Live6 upgrade I might be tempted, but $35 off is not enough to entice me. So I will not be buying Sampler at this time.

Just bought the Live 6 upgrade download, with Sampler. Got 30 EUR off Sampler, so by itself - in GBP - it cost £115.

Doesn't seem quite so expensive now. :)

I remember Robert saying in a thread long ago that he was as bugged as anyone about the midi learn thing. It's certainly an odd one as midi learning is all really good in L6. Not sure what happened there? different dev teams ?

very mysterious, but my guess is that they will be looking at the midi learn for a point version, all the hooks must be there now (?). I think a point version mainly because Robert will want it working with his big ass controller!
Like I say - thats just an un-educated guess though.
