[ink]Live 6.01 - Not Rendering to Disk - Large file (2h mix)

as the subject line says, I've got an audio recording that I am trying to render to disk. I've normalize on and it gets through the process of trying to the find the amplitude, etc. and then after that is finished it stops and doesn't complete the render.
If I turn normalize off, it renders to disk. Is this a normalization problem at render?

I was able to get it to work with normalize on, but I had to close the app down, restart the computer, bounce to disk without normalization first, then I tried it with Normalization on and it worked.
Weird.
I do this a lot with my mixes, so I'll monitor it to see if it a trend. Not sure if this was a bug or just a "one time" sorta thing.

hm,
i was not able to reproduce this.
A few questions as to what happened:
Did the renderdialog disappear ?
Can you tell if the rendering was started
("render to disk" message and progress percentage in status bar) ?
Elektro4, were your problems also limited to large renderings ?
Can this possibly have to do with missing disk space ?
thanks for you help,
ingo

It's happening to me, too. I was able to render a song last night, then this morning I made some changes and went to render it again without changing any of the previous rendering settings, and all it does is search for amplitude maximum, goes through it twice, then stops. I'll try without normalization on and see if that works. Seems like we've got a problem.

fwiw, i've just been rendering a 1 hour mix w/ normalizing, several times without issue.

Isn;'t thi an issue with NTFS and larger than 2GB files not being supported?
Oh wait, Rob you're on a Mac aren't you?

Seems like it's a Mac issue, so far us with the problem are using Mac's, those without are using PC's.

Found it.
If you cancel a rendering, subsequent renderings
which use the 'normalize' and/or 'render as loop' options
will also silently be cancelled after the first pass.
So, until the next bugfix update you will have to work around
by restarting live after you cancel rendering
in order to be able to render with one of these options.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks to all for your help,
ingo
