writing a paper for school about ableton

i have to talk about how ableton's technology will influence the music industry
what topics/features/uses/ideas would you guys suggest i touch on?

The key would be to discuss how Ableton's interface allows for more spontaneous interaction than typical DAWs. The fact that it allows real-time looping, mixing, and on-the-fly control means it is as much a performance tool as a production tool. It can be used for studio production, or on-stage performance. Cite the various professional artists and how they use Ableton for their performances..... whether it's Sasha Djing, or Kid Beyond beat boxing.
As for influencing the industry..... you can speak to the paradigm shift from vinyl to CDJ to laptop computer. Explain the advantages/disadvantages of the different media. And explain how the shift from vinyl to digital has affected the music industry. Record labels forced to shut down, or reorganize and alter business models towards digital distribution.
You could also try to predict what the future holds. Try to explain your vision of the next decade. Who will become the new breed of superstar performers? And why?

i get the vision that the next Mozartian or Hendrixian genius boy-wonder will use Live. some yungin' is gonna grow up completely unhindered by limitations (1-man band), and completely unhindered by the 20th century record-business scene.

If Ableton keeps it's vision on the importance of using Live as a performance instrument, lil' mozart will be happy.
