Ableton Forum

So Ableton for M-AUDIO comes with two instruments, impulse and simpler.
Definitely no good for elegant piano sounds.

I'm just looking for more variety of course. This may have been posted a million times... but this forum is too huge to go digging through it forever.

What's some good software for soft synth instruments? (using an axiom 61)
Secondly, are there any decent ones for free?

There's quite a few. I only really know the mac UB ones, which are automat and crystal. A new one (released in just the last few days) is u-he's triple cheese, which is a pretty amazing free comb synthesizer (not too many of those around!) On the windows side, people seem to talk about karmafx synth a lot.
