missing a trick - upgrading from 5.01 to 6

Hi, and apologies if this is a stupid first post.

I literally purchased 5 last week and am fortunate enough to be able to upgrade to 6 by default.

I have downloaded the upgrade from the Free Upgrades section of the site and duly installed it on my system, however the upgrade is asking for a serial number.

I've trawled the website, but I cannot find a key to unlock it and my 5.01 serial number is clearly not valid with it.

Again, possibly a stupid post, but has anyone else encountered a similar problem and if so, how did you resolve it?

login to and go to the upgrade/shop page:

there you can buy a product for 0,- ... guess which one

Thank you, however I wish it were so simple.

Despite being logged in, the website is either saying to me that I need to pay EU99 plus tax, or that it can't allow me to purchase it as I don't have a registered product, despite the product and serial number staring out from the screen at me on my registration page!!

I think this might be a case for the support team, unless anyone else has experienced similar difficulties?

I registered it pretty much as soon as i had it (last tues/wed), and downloaded the 5.2.2 upgrade on friday, although haven't really had chance to use it as was too excited about getting 6 up and running!

can you log in to the ableton home page and click manage account and you see your live 5 serial, your name etc.? if so, just click around on the shop pages while logged in until you find your 0,- product. that was easy as this for me.

but maybe you are not yet in the ableton database because you registeres just some days ago or the page is broken... then you have to wait until "tag der deutschen einheit" is over

I've got the same problem.

My Live 5 copy is well registered from more than a month, with the serial shown on the account management, but i haven't the 0,- upgrade for live 6.

I'll just keep on trying but it seems that nothing new gotta appear...

help
