Lost control/focus of Live 6

Last night I was working with a little piece (that actually was recovered after a sudden crash from the night before); I was playing back the ending in arrangement view, and after the end it continued to play, on & on...I watched the measure count rise, the cursor moving farther & farther from the end...but when I tried to stop playback the controls suddenly would not respond, either thru the screen or my Tranzport.

Finally, I tried to close the program - an error box popped up, saying something about Live closing after closing the error box (sorry, I should have written that bit down exactly but it said basically that), but when I close the error it pops back up. I finally had to go to Task Manager to kill the Live process. Then I re-started Live & continued working on the same piece...no other issues with it (yet)...

The prior crash, BTW - I did send info to support, it was a small piece that I had just done in L6 (not imported from L5) with only 4 scenes, 3 tracks - 1 drum loop (audio), 1 MIDI bass (using Samplitude LE) and 1 guitar - I laid a track of my playing along with those tracks, then cropped into triggerable loops; no FX on anything, CPU load under 10%...I was moving clips around at the very end (bass & guitar), when suddenly *POOF* -?? (Glad I had just saved it...) I'd restarted & it recovered from the last save point, but I didn't continue then (it was late, & I couldn't figure out that the "Back to arrangement button" was lit, duh...)

My basic setup: Athlon 3200+ on MSI mobo, 1 GB RAM, Win XP Pro SP2; Tranzport, UC33e, M-Audio FW Solo.
