Problem importing midi file from Phatmatik

Hi,
I am trying to import a midi file generated by Phatmatic in Live 6 on a Mac/Intel. Now the midi file seems to play in Quicktime, and I can see the *.mid file in the file browser but drag and drop in the midfi channel clip does not work. How do i import the midi file. It seems to expect multiple instrumennts or what ....

Don't know about Live 6, but in 5 you just expand/unfold the midi file in the browser by clicking on the arrow symbol to the left of the file and then drag the actual track into a midi track.

That's the issue. there is no expansion of the file. It is a single midi file. But in quicktime the actual notes are played ... is it expecting a general midi file or something, or multiple instruments

Does phatmatik pro on the macintel allow you to drag and drop midi files directly from the gui? I couldn't live without that feature - having to save things to disk first would totally kill the flow

Well, as discussed at the moment I cannot find any method to import the midi file into Live ....

strange, importing and exporting the file from reason ... and then I can expand and drag and drop ..... I am lost, is this a bug of ableton?

IS very strange... the drag and drop method in logic with phatmatik works perfectly but it doesnt work in Live... Can somebody help? I dont know how to import it neither, even if i save it first to the copmuter... Any help would be appreciatte.

I am not on an intel mac. I have a dual G4
I drag to desktop, then to live.
I have not tried to drag directly to live. I don't use this feature much.

have you tried to just alt-click phatmatik's file export button? In live 5/6 on PC I've been ablet to do this as machinate said. Just alt-click export button and drag the midi file directly into the track.
If that doesn't work then it sounds like a bug. You using the latest version of phatmatik from izotope?

i have the same problem.. simply i have reload the sample in phatmatik and now its ok
