Live 6 using up my cpu??????????

Can someone help me understand why i am using up so much cpu? And, after about 30 minutes or so of bing on Live 6 i get distortion on every sound????

double click an audio file. look in the lower left section of your screen - theres a warp button which is yellow if it's on. there's also a drop down list that lets you choose warp method. If you dont need warping/timestretching your audio - turn warp off

I did the warp thing and had the same problem. Could it be my computer. Sony Vaio P4 1g ram. Had it for about a year now and i am wondering if this is the problem.

but, i change the sample rate up and it works fine for a minute then it happens again. then, i change the sample rate down and it works again for a minute. probably just going to get a new mac.

i have noticed this too. nothing is warped but I get distorted audio on just one track. goes away for a little while if i change the buffer size but then it comes back. I also seem to be having variable amounts of latency, that seems to be related to the distortion.
The distortion sounds a lot like a ring modulator, it's really nasty. Makes recording audio pretty much unusable.[/i]

I'm also experiencing some nasty distortion running Live 6.0.1 on a Powerbook G4 ... dosen't appear related to levels of either individual tracks or master, as the meters don't indicate any overload.
