Spacebar not working?!

My download version of Live 6 on a WinXP AMD64 rig recently started refusing to respond to spacebar commands. I checked the keymap, and it says the spacebar should toggle playback/stop, but it's not working!
I'm getting really sick of having to hit play and stop with the mouse...
Anyone else having a similar problem/ got any ideas?
And before anyone asks, I checked, my keyboard works fine in other applications.
