Master-Section / Red-Peak

Hello

I've created a tune with 45 tracks. Midi-Tracks, Audio-Tracks etc. Mostly all are routed to the master-section. In the master-section are (from left to right):

4-band-eq -> limiter -> reverb -> saturator (soft)

is that normal, that the input of the 4-band-eq has drop-outs? cuz the output of all tracks they're routet to the master section are fine, means are in the green-level, no drop-outs.

:roll:

thanxs!

there's always lots of debate about things like this

but i think in the end, it's nothing to worry about. until audio leaves the master, it's 32 bit floating, so should not distort when going into the red on the individual track faders. so since all your tracks are green, you're OK up to the master

i'd suggest just putting a utility at the front of that master FX chain, and pulling down the gain a little bit so that nothing in the chain is going red

thanks longjohns!

an utility-efx makes no different: even when i place it in front of the 4-band-eq with gain; for example, -4db to reduce the input, the left peak-level-graphic-display has drop-outs.

anyway, how you said, nothing to worry about it. the end-output in the master-section is in the green-level.......

even though, strange behavior...... :D
