windows turntable scratch vst?

Post by The Phat Conductor » Thu Oct 12, 2006 8:38 am

im looking for a vst for windows that can be used to emulate scratch effects including reversing directions. id really like to be able to control sample speed, position, and direction.

is there a way to do it in kontakt that i dont know about?

Turntablist. It's very simple and may lack features, but it's useful.

oh nice! i thought it was mac only. awesome!

in the meantime i figured out how to rock it with simpler. you can just loop a tiny piece of the sample, and then scrub your loop start backwards, dipping the transpose near the direction switch point. it sounds pretty hot too.

gotta get live 6 so i can get on the racks though... damn.

hate to say it, but for writing a tune and making scratched vocal edits and stuff, simpler is owning.

sure wish kontakt had loop LENGTH to modulate like it says and not loop END. if you modulate loop start the end stays in the same spot. it's only good for granny rolls and such, not for scrolling through a sample like simpler.

simpler: 1, everybody else: 0

fuckers.

You're gonna HAVE to write a quick tutorial for that one, son! Can it really be as simple (no pun intended) as that?!?
