I've got its predecessor, the 2005FPW I think, with 4 video inputs and USB hub, and it's really good value, cost me about 500 EUR back then.

That's awesome. I have an older 20" Dell, they make excellent monitors IMO.

I'm really enjoying the 2405fpw in the studio, very nice for live which has a tidy Gui by itself.. The 3007 looks nice really but it's still too high priced to me.

I nearly went for the 24"er myself, but last years model seemd to be plagued with a chirping noise and other problems. The forums showed threads with people complaining on 50 pages. My 20" display doesn't have a perfectly even backlighting, but it's still heaven compared to my iBooks porthole and I never even thougth about sending it back. And it's just the right size for an overcrowded desk. I thought about purchasing an 24" iMac this year, but it really seems too big ... very weird.

Acer also makes very decent 20" widescreen monitors in the $200 range. I've purchased two on http://www.newegg.com
