Operator or Sampler

Okay, payday has come and I'm upgrading to Live 6.0...I'm also going to get either Sampler or Operator and want some opinions on which I should get....
I like to do house/techno/dance/etc. and have Reason, Stylus RMX, and ImageLine's Sytrus VST synth
Should I go with Sampler or Operator?

You really shouldn't be asking other people that.
Make up your own mind by trying the demos out.

i can understand that...but what's wrong with asking opinions on it?...i mean, if you HAD to choose between getting either Operator or Sampler...which one would you get? and why?...
you know...i was going to stay calm on my reply to you, but it p!sses me off when people on forums tell other people what they should or should not be asking
and here I am asking a question ABOUT Ableton Live products when there are a billion off topic posts on this freaking board and you tell me "you really shouldn't ask anybody's opinion on that"...you know what...just shut the fuck up and don't reply if that's how you're going to reply..
i have tried out both demos and just wanted to know what others would do if they had to pick

jump off a bridge
oh, and if you want a sampler - get the sampler.
if you want a synt - get the operator.
hope that helps...I know its a tough decision.
by the way, what mpc did you end up buying ?

Yeah...Just trying to help you.
Go and fuck yourself.
Let someone who doesn't even know you tell you what to get ... lemming
Go and throw yourself off a bridge and take your bullshit dance/house/techno/etc (I don't have a clue music) with you.

No, the train driver shouldnt have to clean you off his windshield...better you hop off a bridge so you can be washed off to sea along with the sewage

yesterday it was sytrus and today its sampler or operator..
i used to go on these soft synth frenzys also until i realised most of them sound alike..
anyways,
i would go with sampler .. you can always sample operators waveforms (in demo mode) and use them in sampler.

THANKYOU njh...someone finally offering good information instead of smartass replies...not that I would listen to any opinion b0unce had anyway

Yeah are you looking for a sound design tool? If so, sytrus should keep you warm many a night.

I've actually owned Sytrus for quite a while now...which is why I was sort of wondering if would be worth it to get Operator...I've read where the integration of Operator with Live is worth it alone, but Sytrus works very well as a VST in Live.
So Operator probably isn't going to give me anything extra (except maybe some integration features) so I guess it makes sense to go with Sampler for now.
