In Live 5 it was possible to "adapt" another clips warping and length/locators. This was done by dragging it down to the sample display (where you can see the sample) of another sample.
Is this not possible i Live 6?
When I try to drag it down, the sample display just changes to the sample display of the clip I am draggin. It used to keep the sample display of the former highlited sample, so it was possible to put the new sample in the other clips sample display, and then you would keep the same warping and length/locators but have a new sample in there..

i believe this is what the "repl" (replace) button is for

i have never used your method so can't really comment on that specifically
