I am learning the ways of the mix and since I do not have access to a real studio and probably never will, I need to train my ears somehow. I read lots of tutorials on mixing and have studied much of the concepts behind it but all this really means nothing without actually hearing some shitty mixes and working them under control.
Does anyone know any online tutorials with associated sound files so I can actually hear some examples? Is this a stupid request? Any other advice?
thanks!

short answer, 'stupid request'
<sarcasm>
I think you'd learn more by just trying it yourself, take two songs, warp them and cut between them. Isolate drum parts for both and play with those, then add FX and play with those.
The best way to learn is by doing, not watching, seriously, and less internet too.
Start with two songs, any two songs, or take an album's worth of songs and just
HAVE FUN DJing them together.

heh I'm sorry I mean mixing as in mixdows/mastering. I've been djing for quiet a while on decks and in live (since live 4) :p I've just started to produce my own tracks though and I'm pretty sure the best way to learn is absolutley by spending some time in a recording studio working with an engineer who knows thier business. This amounts to really training your ears to be able to isolate problems in a mixdown and expirience is key here. Like I said, pretty sure that opportunity won't happen for a while this producing thing is just a hobby atm...I would however like to hear some examples of pro engineers working thier magic.
