apple macbook

i got a macbook 2.0 duo and installed ableton lite 4 and the cpu usage is maxing out. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening i am going to up grade to six but was wondering if their was anything else i need to change in my preferences to make it run smooth.

more specs if anyone is wondering. it has a gig of ram and 80 gb hd. everything is stock.

Ableton 4 (Lite) is not a universal binary, so it runs in emulation mode, and amazingly enough it even works.
You need Ableton 5.2/Intel or best the 6.0 version for a universal binary. --Kent

so this will take care of this problem Kent? New to macs but have had live on my pc for a while and i could believe that it was doing that. Thanks man i appreciate it.
