Live 6 DEMO + MacBookPro CPU maxing out playing 2 clips!!?

A friend loaned me his MacBook Pro as I'm thinking on buying one for audio.
I downloaded Live 6 and it runs shite!
The CPU goes up to a mental 120% with only 2 clips loaded.
And the ciips play rubbish and stuttery.
I have spent the last 2 hours looking for and trying solutions.

- What ever the buffer settings and Drive error I use to try and reduce the latency it makes no difference.

- tried the Multicore support toggle

It runs much better on my 3 year old iBook

I thought it would run like a dream on a brand-new MacBook Pro with 1GB of memory.

Can anyone make any suggestions ??
Please I love the program and really want to use it.

It should run better for sure... there is something wrong.
