VST issue Live doesn't recognize my vst plugins

Hello guys,
I put my vst plugins inside Live Vst folder but when i launch it Live doesn't recognize any plugs..
I mean i don't see any vst plugins inside Ableton's browser.
Ableton Live 2.1
Apple G3 ibook 800 Mhz
any help?

Hello,
The usual procedure is to assign the VST folder with your VST plug-ins in the Preferences. If they still don´t show up in the browser, make sure that they are
1. OS X
- No Mach-O (supported in Live 3)
- Carbonized VST´s
- that you assigned the correct VST plug-in folder (either user library or
global library)
2. OS 9
- they should show up in Live if they work in other VST hosts as well.
In any case it might helpful to trash Live´s "Preferences.cfg" file:
/System/Preferences/Ableton (MacOS9) and
/Library/Preferences/Ableton (MacOSX)

Sorry - I've just been posting this everywhere without reading other threads...
I assign the folder in preferences, but it never remembers after I close the prefs window.

I want to preface this by saying I am not a moron nnor have I ever been one...
I been having this exact problem tonight for some reason. So I trashed the prefs for Abelton, open it up again and...
Damned if I've been using 1.5 or something for months! I'm finally staring 2.1.1 in the face and damn if it ain't pretty.
I wonder what 3 is looking like.
