Why don't Live's MIDI instruments windows resize? (v6.01)

It's probably unique to me - but if I drag an instance of Impluse, Simpler or Sampler in - the bottom of the screen does not resize - yet if I drop in an audio WAV file it does.
I get the "split" arrows (where you should be able to drag/resize the lower portion of the window).
This is on XP Pro and a Mac.
Maybe just me?

this is normal.
with the devices, there's nothing really to stretch. the exception is the sampler zone editor, which pops up above the main clip view area.
with an audio or midi clip, you can resize it because you might want to expand the waveform, or see more piano roll.

Thanks for that - it's just a little strange that the cursor changes into a "split cursor". Also, there are quite a few parameters in Sampler (as well as Operator) and it would have made sense to make the window larger to make the settings easier to see/adjust.
Thank you though.

The split cursor still does something even with unresizable views -- if you drag it all the way to the bottom it will hide that panel.
