Problem with projects and settings in live6

When I save a set it doesn't make a new project as it says it should in the manual. What seems to be happening is live sees the entire library folder as the current project. How can I fix this?
Also, things like the midi recording quantisation, and the resolution of piano roll grids resets every time i close the program, whereas in live 5 they were saved.
This also means that all recordings I make are saved in one folder, instead of one for each project, and the unreferenced samples are not deleted wasting a lot of disk space.

yes im having similar problems (projects). I think it might be because I am using a template made in v5 so its treating each one like a v5 set (think the manual says v5 sets wont be saved as Projects but sets).
Im just hoping I dont have to build my template up from scratch again

If that's the case, maybe someone could post their default template from live 6?

i don't think it has anything to do with that (?)
sounds like you might have your working directory defined as your library location?? or inside it?
if so, you should not do that. set up a working directory somewhere outside the live library
that's my take on it anyway. from what i've read, it won't create a new project folder if it's inside an already existing project folder, and i believe the library counts as one
in any case, my live 5 template transitioned fine into the live 6 environment

Hello,
that is right, Live 6 Library is a project, and projects can't be saved inside project, so called 'nested projects' are not possibled.
So, that may change a but your working habits, but Longjohn's advice is good: you should create a new folder to save all of your projects if you like to keep them in one place.
Concerning the quantize, what does not get saved for you exactly?
Kind regards,
Amaury

Thanks guys, this is really helpful
As for quantisation, I believe it gets saved with the specific set, so all I need to do is make a new template with the quantisation settings I want set up.
