I am trying to put some volume adjustments on a wav file that was created from a music track that I ripped from a CD.

I am unable to bring the 'pencil' up... I click on draw mode, and I also fiddle with the options at the bottom of the 'Clip' window where the sample edit window is.

This works in Live 5.2.2 ,but Live 6 , I can't seem to get the pencil to come up so that I can draw some volume envelopes.

anyone know whats up with this?

Am I doing something wrong?

It works fine in 5.2.2 but live 6 it does not work.

I have not run V.5 to check on the behavior there -

but I'm guessing that you're having this problem in Session view, and that the clip is not warped. Turn on warp and you should have the ability to draw volume envelopes on the clip.

You should be able to draw envelopes in Arrange with no problem.

Ok will try to turn on 'warping', then edit volume.
