I've used one and I don't really like it. The whole unit is just too small. If you're coming from or used to a traditional mixer feel, this thing could be an adjustment.

I know what you mean about that even though I've never used it, even my bcr2000 knobs sometimes feel too close

I'm using a - gasp - x-session pro for my djing needs, although tonight I'll be using a Feena. The x-session has much more traditional spacing betwen the faders and knobs, but the cue/nudge/play/pause buttons on either side of the cross fader are too close together as well. Also the XSP build quality is shite.

kinda late, but howd that go with the fmdj?
was thinkin about getting one.

I'm not a fan, but that isn't to say that the feena isn't a quality but of kit. The construction is very good - metal, and the faders track nicely. Also the buttons are illuminated, which is very handy in the dark. There's lots of knobs and buttons. However, I'm used to standard DJ mixers, which are much bigger, like the Rane Empath, DJM 600, and Allen and Heath Xone 92 (These are the ones I've had the most experience with). The feena controls are tiny in comparison, and I couldn't use certain mixing techniques because my fingers would nudge buttons sliders when I didn't want them to.
My recommendation is to try one out for yourself if you can. Also, if you are coming from a laptop background, perhaps you wouldn't find it as limiting as i did. If your coming from a Vinyl background, have big hands, or use certain techniques that requires moving around the mixer quickly, then you might have some difficulties adjusting.
That being said, it seems to me to be the best option at the moment besides a DJM 800 or Xone 3D, which are considerably more expensive.

but now im screwed out of my money, and only have enuff to buy a padkontrol or mpd24, decisions decisions to make
