Smartelectronix plugins unavailable in Live 3!

Post by jer_mcclain » Sun Oct 12, 2003 11:14 pm

Does anyone use any of the DestroyFX plugins from Smartelectronix? They don't show up in the list in Live 3! Anyone?

hello there,
I use dfx Buffer Override, Supa Trigga and a few others from smart electronics and have had no problems in live 3. Supa Trigga didn't work with the first version of live 2 but since the update it's been fine.
which ones didn't work for you?

I'm using os X, and all of my plug-ins including destroyfx show up fine. I keep all of my plugins in the user/library/audio/plug-ins/vst directory. Hope that helps.

I have this problem too....

OSX 10.2.6
Live 3.0

aha... waitaminnit...

renaming the unseen plugs from "Blah Blah" to "BlahBlah.vst" makes them suddenly show up. Apparently, OSX can recognize that these are vst plugs without the suffix, but Live isn't smart enough to recognize the file type without the "*.vst"

How very 'Windows'...

That sometimes live doesn't like my plugin dir... if I point it someplace else... and then bring it back to your plugin dir... it sometimes picks up things that it had ignored previously...
