I know, I know....

but is it really necessary to save all the multisamples from the EIC separately with each file? that is a pain and a waste of space....it would be nice if live did not feel compelled to copy the samples from it's own internal instruments over, and over, and over....

Check the project manager out.
There an option there for you to decide if you want to collect samples from the library or not.
