I have a question for you evileviletc , whats the difference between the g2 rack and the moog/SE stuff?

well, the moog is analog and it has CV inputs (which is a plus for me because I already own a lot of moog gear), moog filters, moog envelope generators and has (i would hope) a genuine moog sound - it also has some voice limitations but that's oK.
the nord g2 rack is digital and has a "modular" software interface, much like the nord modular that i used to own.
The studio electronics stuff is also analog - i'm looking at the monosynth in particular, and it has some cool functions.
i hope that answers your question. i'm really just looking for suggestions.

ok, based on your reply I'd get the moog.
you'd definatly know if its the g2 you wanted, you'd just know.

If you're ready to spend that much look at the Macbeth X Factor
(codename for the keyboard version of the M3X2):

I bought an old mercedes for that amount of money, but it doesn't look quite as good as the one in that picture...
but it does run on biodiesel. The most annoying thing about it is I have to go under the hood to turn it off. Taking the key out does nothing. But it gives it character, I suppose. Chicks seem to dig it.
