Check out my latest LivePA from a Halloween bash I played.
Genre: Drum n Bass, Breaks, Techno.
Oragnicode's Hallows Eve Live Set
Equipment:
P4 Laptop, Ableton Live 5, Art MP Tube Pre, Radium 61-key midi controller, Ugo Texture for solos (for leads this freeware synth is incredible), native Live FX including beat repeat, Angstrom Looper for vocal loops.
A few train wrecks, but all in all I was very happy with the way things went considering I only had two weeks notice on this gig. Some solo volumes were a bit overpowering. Vocal loops were hit and miss, but there were some moments of goodness, particularly around 51:30.
Btw, the intro was WAY long, but that was somewhat by design as I appeared in my vampire costume when the beats start. I wanted the inro to be something like what you'd hear at a show before they drop the curtain to kind of get the crowd pumped up with a bit of synicism vented toward the current political climate here in the U.S.)
I use live as an instrument first, and as a sequencer, second.
