No sounds through PT rewire

I opened Protools 7 le then opened a stereo audio track and put ableton live as a plug in then opened ableton live 5 digidesign edition and made an arangement, the signal came through fine on the mixer in PT untill i tried to record. When i tried to record no sound registered on either protools windows or in the channel that had live 5 assigned to it yet sound still came through the head phones........WT#%$??????????
