I am having great difficulty getting clean audio when scoring a documentary in windows and live 6. the latest version of quicktime does not want to play nicely with my RME multiface 2. anyone with assistance greatly appreciated.

ableton live 6.0.1
quicktime newest
RME multiface drivers beta 15
UAD-1
access virus-ti (disabled from USB)

have adjusted latencies
have reinstalled live, moved around RME PCI card and UAD-1

when I install the newest quicktime all audio becomes corrupt and popping ensues.

when I roll back to quicktime 7.0.3 it gets dramatically better however not perfect.
is there another way to use video in windows than using quicktime-

not as far as i know.
live 6 uses QT to draw the video - so i dont think u will ever be able to load it with something else...

what codec is the video in, and what size?
